Connor McGregor smashes fans Samsung phone in bold move to obtain iPhone sponsorship.

UFC fighter and part-time court proceedings attendee, Connor McGregor, has had yet another brush with the law – this time damaging a fans phone.

Connor McGregor, 30, allegedly took offence when a fan approached him in Miami and snapped his photo without permission. As a result, Connor is said to have lost his cool, taken the man’s phone, smashed it on the ground with his foot, then walked off with the item. However, canny court-side reporters suspect his actions were nothing but a blatant attempt to pick up iPhone sponsorship.

“In the Khabib fight he tried desperately to get Greyhound sponsorship and failed, so this could be just another attempt to pick up a massive sponsor,” said intrepid Irish reporter, Paddy ‘Scoop’ O’Houlihan.

Witnesses say that McGregor started out looking fast and dangerous during the robbery, but a few minutes in he gassed and was looking for a way out.

Red-faced goof and habitual liar, Dana White, is yet to make a statement, so we’ll save him the time and go ahead and assume that if MgGregor agrees to fight soon Dana will defend him; but if MgGregor talks of leaving the company, this incident will be one of the worst acts a human could commit, one that Dana cannot support in good conscience.

Although early days, a motive remains unclear. What is clear, however, is the nice chunk of change the phone owner is going to get from the defendant, Mr C. McGregor.

“McGregor may not get his sponsorship, but that lads about to get a new car, pool, round-the-world holiday and a new phone. God bless the United States legal system,” said the man’s lawyer, Phil Mapockets.
