Bookmakers brace for frantic last minute GOT betting – on Hot Pie.

The final season of Game of Thrones is about to air and bookmakers are bracing for frantic last minute betting from punters who are confident they know just who will occupy the Iron Throne.

“The obvious favourites are the likes of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, but the online community are really going out on a limb with some crazy bets,” said bookmaker, Robbie Kneebreaker. And going out on a limb is an understatement when visiting the messageboards.

“Ten bucks it’s gunna be Hodor,” typed Ima Nerdlinger, on one of the many GOT messageboards at 9.58pm on a Saturday night. “Hodor will be resurrected and will sit on the Iron Throne.”

“No. Fifty bucks says it’s going to be Ghost. Caligula almost made his horse a Senator, and Martin based all his work off historical events. It’s Ghost all the way,” replied Doesa Notgetoutmuch at 9.59pm on Saturday night.

“You’re both wrong,” responded Neve Rbeenonadate at 10.01pm on Saturday night. “100 bucks says it’s Hot Pie. The great war will destroy the countryside and the people will be starving, looking for a saviour. One taste of his pies and bread and he’ll have a million followers.”

Despite the craziness of these bets, one thing is for sure. Just like Winks wins whatever race she’s in, these people will still be on messageboards every Saturday night for years to come.
