Adele gets a divorce. Fans rejoice as she now has material for a new album.

British singer Adele has announced she and husband of seven years, Simon Konecki, were divorcing — and almost immediately, the fans expectations started to roll in.

“We were starting to panic that she would remain happily married for ever,” said concerned fan, Alla Boutme. “So to hear she is getting a divorce is literally music to my ears.”

Adele released her last album in 2015 and got married in 2016. Fans feared the worst as she seemed to be happily in love and as such was without any lyrical content that would sound good through her dulcet tones

“Hopefully she gets a good dose of depression from this,” said one of Adeles top Facebook posters.

Fans are concerned that Adele will fall into the same trap as Alanis Morissette, who had massive albums in the 1990s and was never heard of again after getting engaged to Ryan Reynolds. Even after their divorce, she tried her best to release a break up album ‘Flavors of Entanglement’ in 2008 but by then no one cared.

The trick is to get your heart broken every four years so you stay relevant. Taylor Swift has mastered this process and it has a lot to do with why she is one of the worlds biggest stars. Well that and her singing ability of course.

Other notable artists are Nick Cave who hasn’t had a hit since he broke up with heroin. And Tupac who has somehow managed to release a new album every year despite being dead since 1996. Lily Allen was also able to resurrect her career after her divorce and she released the top 10 charting album Sheesus in 2018.

Fingers crossed Adele will be back in the studio soon and can avoid a reconciliation for the sake of her true fans.
