Woman leading workplace footy tipping comp has formula that enrages men.

While some men spend hours agonising over their weekly footy tipping competition, current workplace frontrunner – Fiona Carroll (31) – has a simple formula that is paying bid dividends: which animal would win in a fight?

Originally dismissed by her male-counterparts as ridiculous, and who took great lengths to tell her a thing or two about footy, Fiona has been smashing the blokes with her unorthodox way of deciding a winner.

“I just think, ‘Who would win between a dragon and an eel?’” said Fiona. “At first the blokes teased me saying I would pick my teams based of colours – I mean, that’s how I pick my horses, sure – but I figure a panther is going to beat a bunny, a dragon may beat a knight or the knight may beat him, and a bronco will beat a sea eagle. And so far, so good I’m leading the comp. The men all seem pretty happy about it when they see me.”

As Fiona walks through the office, she is greeted with lots of smiles and nods of congratulations – as she leaves though, the blokes all click back on their footy tipping pages and pour even more effort into turning their poor form around.

“Now, who’d win between a cowboy and a bronco,” wonders all the men outside of Fiona’s earshot.
