Local gym user loses focus when Channel V doesn’t play ‘Old Town Road’ during her workout.

“I just wasn’t ready for such a drastic change to my routine,” said gym junkie, Kel Bells (27).

Channel V is many things but having variety in their playlist is not one of them, which is why local gym user, Kel Bells (27), had her entire workout thrown out of whack when they didn’t play ‘Old Town Road’ by Lil Nas X and Billy-Ray Cyrus. Anyone who has worked out in a gym over the past six months will know this is unheard of, and for poor young Kel she did not know what to do when it happened.

“I structure my routine based around the same eight songs and I’m not gunna lie – I just wasn’t ready for such a drastic change,” said gym junkie, Kel Bells (27). “I stood in front of the mirror waiting and waiting for it to come on, listening out for Chris Rock to do his “Boogity boogity” bit, and nothing. My workout simply fell apart.”

Gym owners across the country have noted this is not an isolated event, with patrons standing around unable to make smooth transitions between machines and dumbbells waiting to hear this song.

Gym users everywhere have emailed Channel V asking when it will come back, but it appears the song is starting to lose favour and is falling out of regular rotation. Channel V has reassured people not to worry, as an even catchier, hokey song will be along any minute to replace it. They also promise to flog it to death just as much as ‘Old Town Road’ when it does.
