Tania (35) of Perth has been fined $750 from a judge for smacking her daughter with a wooden spoon. Her lawyer described the incident where she hit her nine-year-old with the object as a “moment of frustration”. Normally these types of situations would lead to a barrage of online hate, but for Tania this has turned into a lucrative business opportunity.
“Ever since I made the news for using a wooden spoon on my daughter’s backside, I’ve been getting a lot of messages from businessmen who want the same treatment,” said Tania. “There’s something about a mum smacking you with a wooden spoon that turns bankers on.”
Receiving over 100 messages an hour, Tania has been presented with the opportunity to pay off her fine and then some.
“It’s not something I’d normally consider, but it’s not every day you get the chance to hit a banker and get paid for it. Basically everyone with a loan or a mortgage would kill to be in my position,” said Tania.
While her daughter certainly won’t be getting the wooden spoon any time soon, the business sector may soon feel the might of a middle-aged mum – at $750 a pop.
