Sid Spanner has noticed he has been abusing the pies and sausage rolls from the local lunch van that visits his worksite so he has taken a proactive step towards improving his diet by visiting Subway each lunch. By going to Subway, who have loads of fresh vegetables and healthy options to choose from, Sid believes his eating habits will improve. Only problem is, Sid hasn’t realised he’s ordering the unhealthiest of all their options.
“Yeah been trying to eat better lately so Subway has been a great help,” said Sid. “I usually start with the Italian bread that has the cheese on top – because cheese is good for you. Then I get a pizza sub because it’s got meat and tomato sauce on it – and their both good for you. Then I get more cheese added to it, so that’s more dairy. Then I get a small sprinkling of onions – which are a vegetable, which is good for you. Whack on some marinara sauce – which has tomatoes in it, and some salt and pepper, and that’s way better than a meat pie. Naturally I have to take advantage of the cookie for a dollar – and buy two more to treat myself for being good. Then I duck next door to the 24/7 to grab a Dare milk too, because dairy is good for you and I’m all set,” grinned Sid.
After Sid eats his footlong cheese slathered sub, he snacks on his three cookies and downs a Dare Ice Coffee feeling good that he’s made the right decision to start improving his diet. Sparking up a smoke, Sid is also proud that he’s chosen to walk the 300m back to work, rather than drive, now that he’s become so health conscious.
